Shameless Promotion

Be careful, ladies and gentlemen.  A warning, The Bear is among us.  After watching his father blogging for a year, and correctly assuming that he can do better, my son has established a site of his very own and begun posting.

If you’d like to see what over 40 years of exposure to me has caused, if you’d like some wit and wisdom in a different vein, probably jugular, if you’d like to learn some family secrets that’ll make your ears fall off, you can type in www.shimoniac.wordpress.com , or just click on Shimoniac Jones on my new blogroll.

You won’t be sorry you visited, but if I don’t drum him up some business, I will be.  He’ll get to choose my nursing home.

  1. That’s a dire threat if I ever heard one. I’ll pop right over for a look-see.

The wife claims she’s stopped blogging. She Might restart, later. I guess it’s up to me to post more cat stories. I caught the grandson’s fiancee writing a story today, on her new Christmas tablet. She has no intention to blog….buutttt!

I read his post, and I admit, it was quite good. It is obvious that the blogging skills of you and your missus were passed on to sonny. I look forward to more from the anonymous talented writing family from Ontario Canada

  4. Don’t worry about it, if he tries to jam you into some rotten rest home, I’ll take you in. After all, I have to take care of my grand …. blogging buddy! 😉

But that would mean I’d have to live in No-hio. It would be the halt helping the lame. Do you at least know where to get decent craft/imported beer, especially Heineken Dark?

      • I haven’t really checked into the beer scene, since I don’t drink. Frank might know, he’s got quite the local knowledge database (local=Ohio). Though I’d be willing to bet that somewhere around Sugarcreek (self-described “Little Switzerland”) they sell beer by the slice. 😀

I thought Frank drank wine, although what he knows about is not restricted to what he drinks. I must go Wiki and MapQuest Sugarcreek. I live in German town, I just researched Holland, MI., so a Swiss hamlet would be interesting. Were you near/did you feel the earthquake caused by fracking a few months ago?

      • Not sure. We have a lot of farm equipment and trucks going by the house, so a rumble here and there would go unnoticed. We DID feel the big East Coast Quake last … summer, was it? Truly bizarre feeling, I’ve never been through a quake (that I know of) prior to that. (I grew up with 707s and 747s roaring overhead as they maneuvered to land at O’Hare. I’d only find an atomic explosion noteworthy due to the bright flash! 😀 )
