Paper Work

A little restraint for those with OCD, and fiddling fingers.  This is the local version, but ones with other languages are available at popular prices (I like them) in the gift shop as you leave.

Sad but true, most of us have. 😦 One job, I quit and moved on after 18 months, because I still hadn’t got the promised three-month, probationary raise, was expected to come in a half-hour early but was not allowed to use the office lunch room. 👿

  2. I haven’t had a raise in 10 years, but I stay because the health insurance is good, and paid for by my employer.

My almost-twenty-year auto-parts employer closed two plants, putting 400 out of work, but, guaranteed by the Big Three, I was able to retire with a great benefits package. It provides almost as much dollar value as the reduced pension. 🙂

Haha! I love my job despite the fact that half of those sayings up there are true. I’m weird.

Often, the psychological draw of a secure job with steady income, or the thrill of accomplishing something at a challenging one, allows us to overlook “minor” irritations. It becomes the “straw that broke the camel’s back” situation though. Just one new asshole supervisor, or asinine corporate ruling ( Employees may not wear blue shirts.), that finally sends us desperately looking for something else.
