KEEP CALM AND COLOR ON
Henry was a binary fellow even before the internet. He only had two settings about everything – on/off, good/bad, yes/no, light/darkness, black or white.
His wife got him to a therapist who urged him to add a little color to his opinions. Soon, Henry had learned to add the red of anger, the brown of sadness, the blue of serenity, the beige of apathy, the yellow of interest, the green of life, even the plaid of uncertainty.
Finally, Henry was a much more colorful person, only now; his life’s design looked like it was laid out by a drunken dung beetle.

The picture looks a bit like my work notebook. Hmm.

I would think most of us, if not all, have lives like that. Love ‘the plaid of uncertainty’.
As usual, you have done well.

Thank you so much. As a good Scot, that plaid, ‘just came to me’, to help fill the word-count. 🙂
Our friend, The Crazy Cat-Lady from previous posts, provided the little female who makes my gravatar. She (cat-lady) is also Majik.

I might have also, but my parole was granted as soon as I completed my 100 words of community service. 😆

As long as you don’t have an envy of Paisley. Your uncle lives there. 😯

I didn’t have him experience the tie-dyed of stoner. 😯 I can barely handle reality. The only drugs I take all have Rx numbers on them. 😀

I love “the plaid of uncertainty ” and the thought of his life being laid out “by a drunken dung beetle.” Great story!

There seems to be a lot of uncertainty in that story. Gee, I wonder where it came from??! 😛 Thanx Jan – see you next week. 🙂

All those colours but to be plunged in dark green grey of the dung beetle. Oh well.

Laid out by a drunken dung beetle… where on earth do you come up with these? This was a kaleidoscope of fun…

where on earth do you come up with these? I’m not sure; let me check with my therapist. 😆
Seriously though, (happens at times) between being a comic and a cynic, I’m always looking for the skewed angle to make fun of things. If one survives, it was strong/real enough to be taken seriously.
If you think it’s a bit weird on the outside, you should hear what’s going on on the inside. I’ve trained son Shimoniac well. If you ask nicely I’ll tell you about a discussion we had one day about ‘scuba skating.’ 😯

Ooohhh
.. Just read his post “Auntie Vax”… Think I’ll have to peruse his site a tad more.
Well, all I can say is I like your skewed angle…
And now, of course, I am asking nicely…please??

If you’ve read my ‘About,’ and you probably have, ’cause you’re as
nosycurious as I am, you know that my daughter started me blogging shortly after she began. Even the wife tried it for 6 or 7 posts, mostly about cats. The son saw me publishing three posts a week, and thought, “That’s easy. Any fool can do that. Dad can.”Work schedules and lack of sufficiently urgent blog-themes have kept him from being prolific, although, yesterday he confided that he had four ideas he’d like to pursue, so you may see more from him in the near future. As for ‘scuba skating’, check your email inbox soon. 😆

Archon’s Den; great job with this one. Creative, descriptive and quite engaging..not to mention hilarious end. All things in moderation. 🙂

I’m glad you liked it. Just a little psychological cautionary, with, as (almost) always, a bit of humor to take the sting out. 😛

I love that phrase “drunken dung beetle”. He’s really a colorful character now. I think almost everyone has that plaid of uncertainty in their makeup. Humorous and well done, Archon. 😀 — Suzanne

Henry was never uncertain ’till recently – but I don’t think he wears makeup. Thanx Suzanne. You’ve been doing well yourself. 🙂
