Flash Fiction #101

The Fix Is In

Knock, knock.

Psst, Edgar sent me. I need a little something.

Don’t know no Edgar, man. Maybe Clive next door can supply you.

Knock, knock.

Guy next door says maybe you can give me something to make me feel good.

Sure, man! What you need, some allegory, a little bit of alliteration??

Nah, guy. I’m Jonesing for a story-line for a 100-word Flash Fiction.  Can’t score one myself.

Why don’t you write about how it resembles going up a dark, dead-end alley, like a junkie desperately looking for a fix?

Great idea!

Dime bags of inspiration are now twenty bucks.

Go to Rochelle’s Addicted to Purple site and use her Wednesday photo as a prompt to write a complete 100 word story.

I really like the twist with what the subject is looking for. You’ve got a real knack for this.

    That’s fun

Clever! Love it. Trouble is, one hit is never enough. He’ll be back soon.

  4. Ohhh I really enjoyed reading this.

  5. Margaret says:

Oh how I wish inspiration could be bought – I’d venture up a dingy back alley to find a supplier. Brilliant take Archon – I love it.

Man them bags of inspirational prompts seem dear at twenty bucks, go visit FF on the Internet for a million and one ideas on writing a tale and a half. 😛

    • Archon's Den says:

I dare not go there before I start, or I never get an idea of my own. It shows a million and a half, other people’s ideas. It’s like the bowling league banquet that I attended. I got there early and took a seat right next to the buffet table, thinking I might even get a second helping.
Then the emcee stood up, pointed to the other side of the room, and said, “We’ll start over there, then work our way across the back, and finish up here.” By the time I got served, there were three green beans, a wilted lettuce leaf, and a bit of dried stuffing left. You don’t want to read the story of the stuffing. 😯 😳

Clever! There are times when I’d pay twenty for inspiration!

  8. This was right up my alley… well done.

  9. wmqcolby says:

Hahahahahahahaha! Hilarious! Like in football, when in doubt, punt!

Clever stuff, Mister Archon! Five out of five ideas from the boat docks.

  10. Ha! This went to an interesting place. A different take!

  11. Creative idea and a good story, Archon. If creativity could be bought there’d be quite a line. Good writing. 🙂 — Suzanne
