STONED

What’s all that noise? What’s going on out there?

I heard on the news that a cop shot another black guy! Black Lives Matter’s got the ‘hood’ worked up.  There’s rioting and protests.

Cool! Let’s go up on the roof to watch.

***

Look at them all down there! They just broke into Louie’s deli.  Oh, they set that cop car on fire

Don’t go too near the edge. Those guys are throwing things.

I don’t see or hear any guns, and with rocks, they couldn’t hit an elephant at this distan….

***

Oooohh, look at all the pretty birdies.  ∅∀∗≅

Go to Rochelle’s Addicted to Purple site and use her Wednesday photo as a prompt to write a complete 100 word story.

Very topical. The imagery reminded me of the LA riots. Still all too common a scene today. And a chuckle at the end too. Good stuff.

A little light touch to end a serious subject. Well done!

Sad that such a red sky, has now become heavily linked to fire and danger. Just as having a dark skin can now carry great risk in some areas.

A small minority has made it dangerous for almost all people of color. There will always be shit-disturbers, so we have to better train police to speak ‘communication’, rather than ‘testosterone’ – with a side of .40 caliber S&W. 😯

Clever and funny, despite what sounded like a serious finale!

We used to say, “incoming fire (or objects) have the right of way” in the Army.

Hahahaha! Good one, Archon. I work in TV news so this is nice and fun considering the incendiary subject (no pun intended). I wish some little automobile would arrive and out would come a bunch of circus clowns spraying seltzer bottles at everybody.

  7. Well, that was foolish. Some kids think they’re invincible. It could have been a lot worse. Good writing, Archon. —- Suzanne
