CONNECT THE DOTS
Steeped in the all-permeating Christian culture of the early Twentieth Century, Albert Einstein is said to have claimed that, “God does not play dice with the Universe.”
No less religious, but perhaps more pragmatic, Stephen Hawking insists that, “Of course God plays dice with the Universe. Just sometimes He throws them where we can’t see them.”
I don’t think that I’ve found evidence of God playing dice, but this might be proof of a minor god, or a giant, playing dominoes. (Not ordering Domino’s – all gods and giants eat at Papa John’s or Pizza Hut.) Is that a double six?

My aging brain cells couldn’t recall the context of your Einstein quote, so I looked it up. (Thanks for the push!)
Albert, who was not at all religious by the way, was referring to
However, all experiments since have proved that Hawking is right and the dice are always rolling.

While Einstein managed to think great thoughts, he was still a product of his times, and he and his ego really had trouble thinking outside the box. He once insisted that if observed fact disagreed with his theory, Nature would have to change, because his calculations were correct. 😳

Ha, nice musings – and I’m in the mood for a pizza now…

Nice! So my musings are amusing….or is it the reverse??! 😕
Ah, I’ll come with you for pizza. What’s your favorite chain? 🙂

Got to say Pizza Hut or Pizza Express, but not averse to a Domino’s if you fancy it?

I’d never heard of Pizza Express, and thought it might be only in USA. Research shows that it’s mainly UK. Their ‘Find A Store’ doesn’t even list Canada, although there is one outlet, out on the edge of our 500,00 pop. conurbation.
I’ve never tried Domino’s, but have seen lots of their little delivery cars rushing in and out of the neighbourhood. 🙂

Or maybe bowling like Rip Van Winkle’s phantom sailors?
Never heard that quote from Einstein but I agree; if God is indeed the creator of all, He doesn’t need to play games of chance.
Unique and interesting response to the prompt.

Or, maybe a roll of His strange dice got the dinosaurs taken off the board, to make room for me. I’m not complaining. I think sometimes He smokes strange Heavenly dope – have you seen a platypus?? 😛

The “land down under” does seem to be a world unto itself but Planet Earth is indeed full of oddities — if we have a right to define “odd.” Platypus look very normal to each other. 🙂

Another story loaded with information. Loved that last paragraph, the last line had me laughing.

Glad you liked it. It’s another of a type I learned from an old Sci-Fi writer. So often, I seem to make a “diagonal-relationship” observation. My tales are on the other side of the street, facing in the opposite direction. Throw in some factual trivia and some humor, and my readers learn things while having fun. 😆

Yeah, playing dice… that looks like a meteorite. Jeez… *shudder*

It does look like a meteorite. At least it didn’t land on my house – although, if it landed in my yard, I could sell it for enough to fix the place up. 😳
