LIKE A GOOD NEIGHBOUR
There it is! Isn’t she a beauty?
When Robin Hood Realty says we’ll get you a castle, we deliver. ‘Course, it needs a bit of fixin’ up, but I know a tradesman who can put in new windows and cut your heating bill to nothing.
But….location, location, location. The Queen has a home just there, and back the other way, Madge – oops, sorry. You colonials call her Madonna, like Adele, that one-named squawker of ours.
Madge’s husband?? ….buys an estate with a public footpath through it, then complains when the riff-raff parades past.
Don’t worry. Nobody wants to walk here.

Not yet! 😳 😯 But I’ve offered to ship one from our private kennels so that a fellow ‘Colonial’ can keep those tea-slurpers at bay. 😉

This estate agent is in one hell of a state!

Dorset’s not a ‘state’. It’s a county.
I suspect that this glib-tongued con-man could sell refrigerators to Eskimos. 😉

Madonna’s real name is Madge? Hmmm ….

No, ‘Madge’s’ real name is Madonna. It’s just that upper-crust Brits can’t handle long words, and shorten them up, so they refer to her as Madge. It could also be influenced by the mainly Church of England population not wanting to be reminded of the American Catholic with the name Madonna.
The last Madge I knew of, was a manicurist in an old TV ad who had her customers soaking their fingers in Dawn dish detergent. 😳

Better to have riffraff walking through the yard than have nowhere to sit down for tea.

Do upper-crust Brits ‘sit down’ for tea?? I thought that they were too stiff and unbending. 😉 Perhaps a bit of gin in it would loosen them up a bit. 😆

Dear Archon,
A bit Monty Python-ish. A fixer upper indeed. Fun stuff.

Thank you! Compared to Monty Python?? I have been praised. And I though that I was just being my usual silly self. Oh, wait…. silly = Monty Python ….I get it. 😆
