SHOW ME THE BENJAMINS

You’re going to do WHAT??!  Ride in the Tour de France?  Are you crazy?  You get winded reading an exciting novel.  Who do you think you are, Lance Armstrong?  You don’t have the legs for it.

No, what I do have is a new kind of bicycle invented by my nephew.  He says that it passes all current regulations, but will make urban cycling so easy that Grandma could do it.  They’ll change the regs for next year, but even if I just finish the race, both the bike and I will be famous, and his sales will take off.

Go to Rochelle’s Addicted to Purple site and use her Wednesday photo as a prompt to write a complete 100 word story.

  2. Great take on the prompt, if the bike’s as good as he reckons he should do well.

I wish him all the best. 😉 You left me wanting to know how he does in the race.

  11. Oh, I’d like to see this story play out! I suspect the nephew is pulling his leg. The Tour de France involves some steep hills, if I’m not mistaken.

      Thanx for another visit. 🙂
I rode a bicycle to/from work during warmer weather, whenever the car was needed elsewhere, well into my 60s.
Going in wasn’t too bad. It was 4 Km of small hills, with each lower than the last. Coming home, tired, after a shift at an auto-parts plant….??! 😯 All uphill, each one a little higher than the last. I could have used a gadget like this, to be an easy rider.
